Traumatic experiences in childhood are the number one predictor of future health risks for our nation’s children. A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds in the United States , with over three million reports made each year and estimated 6 million children affected. It is conservatively estimated that one in four women and one in ten men is a survivor of child sexual abuse.

The good news? Child abuse is a 100% preventable problem. Through this training, professional caregivers will receive information and resources to help them support families and protect children from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse and neglect. This training will focus heavily on preventing child sexual abuse -one of the most prevalent, unrecognized, and underreported forms of child abuse.
